Wicked Celebrates 15th Birthday in London’s West End admin
20-04-26
Kit Green will lead a new stage adaptation of Mrs Dalloway at Storyhouse this Summer. The production will run from Friday 29 May to Saturday 6 June 2026, before embarking on a UK tour, with further venues and dates to be announced.
The adaptation has been co-created by Green and director Jen Heyes. Green will perform the role of Clarissa Dalloway alongside a range of additional characters as part of a multi-role staging.
Set across a single day in London, Mrs Dalloway follows Clarissa as she prepares for an evening party, with the narrative moving between present action and memory. The story explores themes of identity, connection and loss through a series of intersecting lives. This new version is described as an immersive and contemporary reimagining of Virginia Woolf’s novel.
The production is a co-production between Storyhouse, Harlow Playhouse and CutToTheChase Productions. It has been developed at Storyhouse over a number of years ahead of its premiere.
Jen Heyes directs. Her previous theatre work includes Epstein: The Man Who Made The Beatles in Liverpool and the West End, Blood Wedding at Liverpool Playhouse and Hedda, an adaptation of Ibsen’s play. Her production of Truth to Power Café has toured internationally, including performances at Lincoln Center in New York.

Kit Green is an Olivier Award-winning performer and writer. Her work spans theatre, music, cabaret and broadcast. She is a founding member of the Duckie collective and has created a range of performance pieces including Prurience, Office Party, VIP, Music Hall Monster and The Home. Her broadcast work includes regular contributions to BBC Radio 4, alongside television characters including Tina C and Ida Barr.

Recent and current projects include The Faggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions, which has toured internationally and is scheduled for a season at Park Avenue Armory in New York. Green has also created Legacy 6, a digital memorial project, and The Law of Mayhem, a new play about Roberta Cowell. Her second solo album, Four Letter Words, a collaboration with Yshani Perinpanayagam, is available across streaming platforms.
Mrs Dalloway will be staged at Storyhouse as part of its 2026 programme, with tickets now on sale. Prices start from £18 for members, with general booking open. Visit the official site HERE
