Great Scott indeed! Marty, Doc, and the world’s most famous DeLorean are finally going on tour. The multi award-winning Back To The Future The Musical has announced its first ever UK tour, launching at the Bristol Hippodrome in October 2026.
The show has already smashed box office records at London’s Adelphi Theatre, where it enters its fifth year this autumn. Now it is revving up for audiences nationwide. Bristol gets the first stop (8 Oct to 21 Nov 2026), before the time-travelling spectacle takes in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Milton Keynes, Sunderland and Southampton. Further dates and casting are yet to be revealed.
Why now? The timing could not be better. Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale’s original film hit cinemas in 1985, which means the Back To The Future franchise turns 40 this year. The musical does not just retell the film on stage, it recharges it with new songs by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard, plus iconic hits The Power of Love and Johnny B. Goode. John Rando directs, with illusions, choreography and design as spectacular as you would expect from a show that has already been seen by over 4 million people worldwide.
Producer Colin Ingram says it best: “Audiences are going to have such a fun and thrilling ride in a show which will tour in all its glory and be one of the biggest sets to come out on the road.”
