Wicked Celebrates 15th Birthday in London’s West End admin

One of musical theatre’s most trusted voices is releasing brand new music.
Cameron Richardson, the vocal coach behind leading West End and Broadway performers, will release his new single Whatever The Weather on 27 February. The track marks the latest chapter in a career that has shaped some of the industry’s most powerful stage voices.

For years, Richardson has worked behind the scenes, helping elite performers sustain demanding eight show weeks and rebuild vocal strength through his intensely diagnostic, science-led approach. From his Lincolnshire studio, he has built a global reputation for precision vocal training, mentoring artists across theatre, television and recording.
Trained at The Juilliard School, Cambridge University and the Royal Academy of Music, Richardson first established himself as a performer, appearing at venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and the Royal Festival Hall. Alongside award-winning recordings and teaching posts at institutions such as New York University, he became one of the most sought-after vocal specialists in the business, earning an Outstanding Contribution to Music Education honour from Carnegie Hall.
Today he serves as Head of the Musical Theatre programme at Trinity College, Cambridge and leads The Vocal Coaches, an international network supporting performers from emerging talent to established Broadway names.
With Whatever The Weather, Richardson continues to establish himself as a recording artist in his own right. Following the release of his debut single The Other Side Of Blue, the new track builds on his blend of technical control and emotional clarity. His songwriting draws on personal reflection while maintaining the musical discipline that has defined his professional life.
“I’ve always wanted to create my own work,” Richardson explains. “Coaching has been about unlocking other people’s voices. Releasing my own music is about sharing mine.”
Rather than stepping away from his classical and theatre background, Richardson integrates it. His phrasing, breath control and tonal depth reflect years immersed in performance at the highest level.
For theatre audiences, his emergence as an artist feels like a natural progression. He understands the physical and emotional demands of storytelling through song because he has built a career supporting performers who deliver it nightly.
With further releases planned across 2026, Whatever The Weather signals the continued arrival of a recording artist whose roots remain firmly grounded in musical theatre.
Whatever The Weather is released on 27 February on all major streaming platforms.
