Les Dennis brings decades of stage and screen experience to the role of Joe. His West End credits include Only Fools and Horses The Musical, Hairspray, Spamalot, Chicago and Me and My Girl, alongside touring productions such as Legally Blonde, Art and The Addams Family. On television, Dennis is widely known for Coronation Street and Extras, alongside a career spanning more than 50 years in entertainment.

Sandra Marvin

Sandra Marvin returns to Waitress having previously played Becky in both the West End and on tour. Her theatre work includes Fat Ham for the RSC, & Juliet, Sister Act, White Christmas, Hairspray, Show Boat, Ragtime and Chicago, as well as appearances at the Donmar Warehouse, Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre and Bristol Old Vic. Her screen credits include Call the Midwife and Emmerdale, and she performed with Kate Bush during the Before the Dawn concerts at the Hammersmith Apollo.

Evelyn Hoskins

Evelyn Hoskins also reprises her role as Dawn, following performances in the West End and touring productions of Waitress. Her recent work includes 42 Balloons at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, with earlier credits including Spring Awakening, Carrie, Gypsy and concert performances of Something Rotten!.

Carrie Hope Fletcher leads the tour as Jenna. Her theatre credits include Calamity Jane, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella, Heathers, The Addams Family, Elf the Musical and Les Misérables, with multiple WhatsOnStage Awards recognising her performances.

Based on the 2007 film written by Adrienne Shelly, Waitress features music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Sara Bareilles, with a book by Jessie Nelson. The musical is directed by Diane Paulus, with choreography by Lorin Latarro. Since opening on Broadway in 2016, the show has played internationally across North America, Europe, Asia and Australasia, and marked its West End opening at the Adelphi Theatre in 2019.

Set in a small-town diner, Waitress follows Jenna, a skilled pie-maker navigating a difficult marriage while dreaming of a new life. Supported by her fellow waitresses Becky and Dawn, Jenna faces life-changing choices around love, independence and self-worth. The musical explores friendship, motherhood and personal resilience, underscored by Bareilles’ contemporary score.

The UK and Ireland tour begins in London at New Wimbledon Theatre and continues through major venues including Brighton, Bradford, Birmingham, Sunderland, Edinburgh, Dublin, Manchester, Cardiff, Nottingham, Liverpool, Glasgow and Salford, with dates running through autumn 2026. Some venues will feature alternate casting for the role of Jenna and Becky, with performance schedules to be confirmed.

Waitress is produced by Barry and Fran Weissler and David Ian for Crossroads Live, and was originally produced by Barry and Fran Weissler alongside Norton and Elayne Herrick.

The tour opens on Saturday 28 March 2026, with tickets on sale now for multiple venues across the UK and Ireland.
