Hear Backstage, the podcast from Matinee Radio, new for 2023!
In the first episode,
The Show Must Go On, we look back at 2022 celebrating the fact that, following a global pandemic, 2022 was the year we returned to the theatre, masks were no longer mandatory, and stage doors began to reopen for casts to meet their fans.
We hear how this was achieved by speaking to stars of the West End, Broadway and the big screen (including Faye Brookes
Cabaret, Simon Callow and Kerry Ellis
Anything Goes, Sam Bailey
Beauty and the Beast, Jason Donovan
Joseph and Lea Salonga
Mulan, Aladdin), directors (Jay Osmond
The Osmonds), award winning composers (Dave Stewart
The Time Traveller’s Wife and Glen Ballard
Back To the Future) and choreographers (Adam Cooper
Singin’ In The Rain) as we look back on the return of musical theatre across the globe.
