The animated musical adventure will be released on 9 November 2026, with 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD editions available.
For a film whose soundtrack has become such a huge part of its appeal, the new release offers fans the chance to revisit the music alongside a closer look at how the production was brought to life.
Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, KPop Demon Hunters follows HUNTR/X, a chart-topping K-pop girl group whose members Rumi, Mira and Zoey lead a double life.
While performing for millions of fans, the trio secretly protect humanity from supernatural threats. Their biggest challenge arrives when their demonic enemies disguise themselves as a rival boy band, forcing the girls to confront their own insecurities while battling to save the world.
Combining Korean culture, fantasy action and a soundtrack that has found an audience far beyond the film itself, KPop Demon Hunters has become a major musical success.
The Criterion Collection release features a new 4K digital master approved by directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans.

The 4K UHD edition includes Dolby Vision HDR and a Dolby Atmos soundtrack, presented across a three-disc package containing one 4K UHD disc and two Blu-rays.
Among the bonus features is a full feature-length animatic, introduced by the directors, offering a look at the film's development before the finished animation was completed.
There is also a new making-of documentary, two video essays by filmmakers Taylor Ramos and Tony Zhou of Every Frame a Painting, lyric videos and the original trailer.

Physical extras include collectible postcards featuring original illustrations by artists who worked on the film, together with an essay by critic Karen Han. The release also features new cover artwork by Ami Thompson.
The two-disc Blu-ray edition includes the film and special features, while the DVD edition also offers the animatic, documentary, video essays and other bonus material.
All three editions include English subtitles for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers and English descriptive audio.
At the heart of KPop Demon Hunters is its music, which plays an essential role in the story as HUNTR/X use their performances and their connection with fans to confront the forces threatening them.
The film's mixture of pop spectacle, supernatural adventure and themes of friendship and self-acceptance has helped introduce its characters and songs to audiences around the world.
With its extensive collection of extras, the Criterion release promises an opportunity to explore both the finished film and the creative work behind it.
