Bend and snap — Elle Woods is back! Producers ROYO and Curve have announced that Amber Davies will star as Elle in the brand-new Made at Curve production of Legally Blonde the Musical, touring the UK and Ireland from February 2026.

The tour kicks off at Leicester’s Curve on 7 February 2026 before heading across the country through to January 2027, with stops including Southampton, Sheffield, Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Dublin, Belfast and Brighton.

Amber Davies has fast become one of the most in-demand leading ladies of British musical theatre. She recently originated the role of Jordan Baker in The Great Gatsby in London, and has played Vivian Ward in Pretty Woman, Lorraine Baines in Back to the Future, and Campbell in Bring It On. She made her West End debut in Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 the Musical at the Savoy Theatre, later reprising the role on tour. On screen, she won Love Island in 2017, and has appeared in Dancing on Ice and Almost Never.

On joining the show, Amber said:
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be playing the iconic role of Elle Woods in ROYO and Curve’s new production of Legally Blonde. As a huge fan of the film and the musical, this part is the role of a lifetime. I have always wanted to work with the incredible theatrical mind that is Nikolai Foster, and I am so excited to hit the road again and bring Laurence O’Keefe’s incredible score back to the UK! Get ready Harvard… this is gonna be just like senior year except for funner!”

Legally Blonde is based on the 2001 film starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Coolidge, with a book by Heather Hach and music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin. The new tour will be directed by Curve’s Artistic Director Nikolai Foster (Kinky Boots, The Wizard of Oz, A Chorus Line) with choreography by Leah Hill and a creative team that includes Colin Richmond (set design), Ben Cracknell (lighting), Adam Fisher (sound) and Matt Spencer-Smith (musical supervision).

The musical follows Elle’s transformation from fashion-obsessed sorority queen to Harvard law ace — proving along the way that being true to yourself never goes out of style. Expect pink power, plenty of laughs and a score packed with infectious tunes.

With a proven track record of sell-out tours including Kinky Boots, this new production is shaping up to be the ultimate feel-good rom-com musical event of 2026.
