Ghostlight Records has announced the release of Deathless: Original Studio Cast Recording, the emotional new indie-folk musical by Zack Zadek, arriving on Friday 7 November. The first two singles, “On We Go” and “A Life,” drop Friday 10 October, and are now available to pre-save.

Blending the intimacy of folk and the storytelling sweep of musical theatre, Deathless features an extraordinary cast including Jeremy Jordan, Nicolette Robinson, Maia Reficco, Sara Kays, and Kevin Atwater — bridging Broadway and the indie scene in striking harmony.

The show imagines a near-future America where the cure for aging has been found. As Hayley Serling and her family travel to Niagara Falls to mourn her mother, they face the impossible question: whether to live forever without her. It’s a story about love, loss, and the cost of eternity — told through songs that feel tender, restless, and real.

Produced by Doug Schadt (Maggie Rogers’ Alaska), with orchestrations by Zack Zadek and Justin Goldner, the album promises lush acoustic textures and heartfelt storytelling. Zadek, a Brooklyn-based composer and Warner/Chappell artist, was named by Playbill as a “writer you should know.” His music has been streamed over 200 million times, and Deathless marks a powerful new chapter in his growing catalogue of musical storytelling.

For Ghostlight Records, this project continues a legacy of spotlighting distinctive, daring new voices in theatre — following Grammy-winning albums like In the Heights, The Band’s Visit, and Beautiful – The Carole King Musical.
