Wicked Celebrates 15th Birthday in London’s West End admin

Fresh from receiving the Special Award at this year’s Olivier Awards, Dame Elaine Paige has released a brand-new studio album, Miscellaneous Paige, a reflective collection of songs that have shaped her life and career.
Released today (17 July) through Westway Music, the album moves away from musical theatre in favour of a carefully curated selection of classic and contemporary songs that hold particular personal significance for one of the stage’s most celebrated performers.

Describing the record as “a nostalgic reflection”, Paige says the collection is centred on the passage of time, bringing together music from the songwriters who inspired her as a young performer alongside more recent discoveries that continue to resonate.
“It’s a collection of songs gathered over the years – a nostalgic reflection with the passage of time as its central thread,” she said. “Some are old companions by writers from my youth including Jimmy Webb, Harry Nilsson, The Beatles, Burt Bacharach & Hal David and The Bee Gees. They taught me everything – joy, heartbreak and the importance of rewinding a cassette with a pencil. Others are newer discoveries which simply resonate with me.”
The 12-track album features new interpretations of songs by The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Sting, Bruno Mars, Finneas and Ben Platt, alongside classics from Jimmy Webb, Randy Newman, Harry Nilsson, Burt Bacharach & Hal David and The Bee Gees. Rather than radically reinventing the material, the new arrangements aim to preserve the emotional heart of each song while allowing Paige’s distinctive voice and storytelling to shine.
Among the highlights are In My Life, Woodstock, Only A Lifetime, Ben Platt’s Older and a closing rendition of the Bee Gees’ Immortality, while the opening medley combines Harry Nilsson’s Remember with Gerry Goffin and Carole King’s Goin’ Back.
The release follows another landmark year for Paige, who was presented with the Special Award at the 2026 Olivier Awards in recognition of her extraordinary contribution to British musical theatre. Across a career spanning more than five decades, she has originated and starred in some of the defining musicals of the modern era, including Evita, Cats, Chess, Sunset Boulevard and Anything Goes.
Miscellaneous Paige is available now on CD and digital platforms.
