FIRST LISTEN: “Pretty Little Dead Things” from Paddington The Musical

Updated 01-11-25

London’s about to meet its newest West End star — and tonight, the identity of Paddington himself will finally be revealed.

Ahead of the first preview at the Savoy Theatre, a brand-new track from Paddington The Musical has been released: Pretty Little Dead Things, performed by Victoria Hamilton-Barritt (& Juliet, In the Heights) as the deliciously villainous Millicent Clyde.

The song offers fans their first real taste of Tom Fletcher’s all-new score for the show — a gleefully gothic number that shows Paddington’s world has more than a little mischief behind the marmalade. Fletcher has written over 18 original songs for the production, which officially opens 30 November, with previews beginning tonight.

Producers have confirmed that the creative team behind the bear’s onstage debut — and the actor voicing him — will be revealed at this evening’s first performance. It’s one of the most closely guarded secrets in the West End, and excitement is sky-high as audiences prepare to step into Windsor Gardens for the very first time.

The production stars Bonnie Langford, Brenda Edwards, Amy Ellen Richardson, Timi Akinyosade, Tom Edden, Tarinn Callender, Amy Booth-Steel, and Delilah Bennett-Cardy, alongside Victoria Hamilton-Barritt as Millicent Clyde.

Adapted from Michael Bond’s beloved stories and the hit STUDIOCANAL films, Paddington The Musical features a book by Jessica Swale and direction by Luke Sheppard (& Juliet). Presented by Sonia Friedman Productions, STUDIOCANAL, and Eliza Lumley Productions on behalf of Universal Music UK, the show is currently booking until 25 May 2026.
