New music has been released from the upcoming musical Sea Witch, with Michelle Visage featuring on the track Beware of the Storms, unveiled ahead of the show’s world premiere performances at Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
The release marks the first music to be shared from Sea Witch, a major new musical created and conceived by Kristopher Russell and Michael David Glover, with music and lyrics by Segun Fawole. The track introduces the sound world of the production, blending cinematic pop, dark soul and contemporary musical theatre, and offers an early glimpse of the score ahead of its first staged performances.
Sea Witch will receive its world premiere in two special performances at Theatre Royal Drury Lane on Sunday 1 March 2026, at 3pm and 7.30pm.

Michelle Visage will appear in the production as Tante Hansa, and her involvement in the newly released track places the music at the forefront of the show’s launch. The cast also includes Jay McGuiness as Iker, Natalie Paris as Evie, Mazz Murray as Queen Charlotte, Amy Di Bartolomeo as Annemette and Natalie Kassanga as Malvina.
Speaking about joining the production, Michelle Visage said that taking part in Sea Witch is a project she holds close, describing the musical as powerful, fearless and full of talent. Natalie Paris added that creating a role in a new musical of this scale is a special experience, while Jay McGuiness highlighted the excitement of bringing a fantasy novel to life on stage.

Based on the novel Sea Witch by Sarah Henning and adapted with permission from HarperCollins Publishers, the musical reimagines the origins of one of the sea’s most feared figures. Set in a world where magic is outlawed, the story follows Evie, a witch living on the margins of society, whose fate becomes intertwined with Annemette, a mermaid harbouring a secret that will reshape both their futures. Themes of identity, sacrifice and self-discovery sit at the heart of the narrative.
The creative team brings together director and co-creator Kristopher Russell, writer and co-creator Michael David Glover, and composer Segun Fawole, with music production by Jeff Nang. Choreography is by Dean Lee, whose work with Janet Jackson informs a movement language designed to carry narrative weight alongside the score.
With the release of Beware of the Storms, Sea Witch begins its journey as a musical experience ahead of its first live performances, allowing audiences to engage with the show’s music before it arrives on one of the West End’s most historic stages.
World premiere performances take place on Sunday 1 March 2026 at Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Tickets are available now.
