Second Half Productions, Seaview, and Gavin Kalin Productions have announced that Tony Award winner Daniel Radcliffe will star in the Broadway premiere of Every Brilliant Thing, written by Duncan Macmillan with Jonny Donahoe, and directed by Jeremy Herrin and Macmillan.

Performances begin at The Hudson Theatre on 21 February 2026, ahead of an official opening on 12 March, for a limited run until 24 May 2026.

The acclaimed one-person play arrives in New York following its hit London run @sohoplace, where it continues with Minnie Driver until November. This marks the first Broadway transfer for Second Half Productions, founded by Herrin, Alan Stacey and Rob O’Rahilly.

Every Brilliant Thing is an uplifting and deeply human story about the small joys that make life worth living. Told through a list of “every wonderful, beautiful and delightful thing” — big, small and everything in between — it’s a warm, spontaneous, and moving piece that invites the audience into its heart. Since premiering at the Edinburgh Festival in 2014, it has been performed in more than 80 countries and adapted into an HBO special starring co-creator Jonny Donahoe.

Duncan Macmillan said: “Every Brilliant Thing tackles serious subject matter, but the overall experience is one of joy and celebration. Every performance is unique and unpredictable and requires virtuosic skill from its performer. Daniel has the intelligence, quick wit and charm to roll with the spontaneous moments this show invites. He can be a clown one moment, then grab you by the heartstrings the next. He has huge depth and humanity. I can’t wait to get started.”

The Broadway creative team features Vicki Mortimer (set and costume design), Jack Knowles (lighting design), and Tom Gibbons (sound design), with casting by Jessica Ronane CDG and general management by TT Partners.

Radcliffe joins the production following his Tony-winning turn in Merrily We Roll Along, marking an anticipated return to The Hudson Theatre. His Broadway and West End career has included Equus, The Cripple of Inishmaan, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and The Lifespan of a Fact.

Every Brilliant Thing has become one of the most celebrated solo plays of the past decade — a story that finds hope, humour and humanity in the darkest of places.
