Wicked Celebrates 15th Birthday in London’s West End admin

The Royal Shakespeare Company has confirmed full casting for the 2025–27 UK and Ireland tour of Matilda The Musical, which marks the production’s fifteenth year on stage.
The tour begins in October 2025 and will visit multiple cities across the UK and Ireland. A Manchester run at the Palace Theatre is scheduled for March 2026. Further cities include Leicester, Bradford, Liverpool, Plymouth, Sunderland, Edinburgh, Southampton, Bristol, Birmingham, Norwich, Milton Keynes and Cardiff, where the production will play over Christmas until 17 January 2027. Final dates will be announced in September.
Madison Davis, Mollie Hutton, Olivia Ironmonger and Sanna Kurihara will alternate in the role of Matilda. Richard Hurst will play Miss Trunchbull, with Tessa Kadler as Miss Honey. Adam Stafford and Rebecca Thornhill take the roles of Mr and Mrs Wormwood.
Also joining the company are Scotty Armstrong, Sam Holden, Portia Jefferies, Caiomhe Judd, Brooke Kelly, Ryan Lay, Cassandra Lee, Samuel Leon, Jordan Maisuria-Wake, Nicole Manumbre, Lizzie Nance, Esther Niles, Jordan Ricketts, Josh Singleton, Bradley Trevethan, Ella Tweed, Ben Tyler and Karen Walker.
Young ensemble performers include Rudy Bragg, Jacob Connor-Ashton, Charlie Cox, Sylvie Grace, Rose Jammeh, Dottie Jones, Takunda Khumalo, Sana Lennon, Oisin-Luca Pegg, Millie-May Mankowska, Tate Masuku, Leo Maurice, Carter-J Murphy, Jaxon James Nolan, Cole Nicholson, Pixie Pettigrew, Brodie Robson, Haiden Sihapanya and Felix Schmitt.
Tim Minchin, who composed the music and lyrics, visited the Manchester rehearsal room this week and met members of the young cast. Photographs by Phil Tragen are available via the production press office.
Matilda The Musical is based on the book by Roald Dahl, with a book by Dennis Kelly and direction by Matthew Warchus. The production features design by Rob Howell, choreography by Peter Darling, orchestrations and musical supervision by Christopher Nightingale, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, sound by Simon Baker and illusions by Paul Kieve.
The show continues to run in the West End at the Cambridge Theatre and has been seen in more than 100 cities worldwide. A feature film adaptation, developed by the original creative team, premiered in 2022 and is available to stream on Netflix.
